Le Crocine 2013

Cabernet Franc 50% - Merlot 25% - Cabernet Sauvignon 25%

Elegant wine with notes of cassis and other small red fruits.

Aged in 30% new French barrels, the rest in old barrels.

Terroir:

Cabernet Franc : Vineyard planted in the early years 2000 on a medium density type of soil exposed north/North-West.

Merlot : Vineyard planted at the end of the 1990’s on a rich in clay type of soil, exposed west.

Cabernet sauvignon : Vineyard planted in the early years 1990's on a very stony and rich soil exposed west

Vintage:

2013 was a very elegant vintage, almost perfect in terms of quality and quantity. 

Vinification:

The grapes were well selected then put in small vatsbefore undergoing the alcoholic fermentation. After the fermentation the wine was put in French barrels of different type for the malolactic fermentation and aging  for 18 Months.
