80% Cabernet Sauvignon - 20% Merlot
Produced out of grapes from exceptional terroirs, this wine has freshness, finesse and a certain temper that characterizes well the wines of Bolgheri.
Most of the vineyards are oriented southwest , perpendicular to the sea, allowing a better ventilation during the hotter period of the year.
Under many aspects 2019 can be considered an easy vintage with dry sunny days and cool nights. Two fondammental elements that allow the grapes to ripe gently, maintaining their frutiness and freshness for the style of wine we like to produce.
After the sorting of the grapes, the full berries are put by gravity in to small stainless steel vats. The grapes undergo a brief cold-soak before the fermentation starts naturally, followed by the malolactic. Once both fermentations are done the wine is gently moved in to second and third year French barrels for approximately 18 months. During this time with move the lees to give richness to the wines by doing some “battonage”.
